Mother Sparks Debate After Urging Her Husband To PICK Her Life Over Their Baby’s During Complicated Childbirth

A mother has sparked a lengthy debate after urging her husband to choose her life instead of their baby’s during childbirth.

Taking to TikTok, the woman who goes under the username @anabelmoralezz shared with her followers a message that she told her husband.

In the video that has gone viral on the social media platform, the couple can be seen in the hospital with Ana laying on the bed with a mask on and medical gown. Her husband can be seen sitting next to her.

The text over the video read: “To my husband: If I’m giving birth, and the doctor says you need to pick between me or the baby. Please save me.

“I don’t want (their son) Ethan to grow up without a mom, and I don’t want you to have to raise two babies alone while also grieving your wife.”

The clip has been watched more than six million times and received thousands of comments.

One person wrote: “My husband said ‘if I had to pick between you and our baby I’d pick you bc we can have another baby but I can’t have another you.’”

Another commented: “My hubby has always said ‘we can have another baby but our kids who are already on earth can’t replace you.’”

A third added: “I’ve never looked at it this way. I’m lost for words…”

Someone else added: “I had these feelings during my third pregnancy and felt so guilty. I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this way.”

Many women seemed to disagree with the stance, with one person commenting: “I’m not a mother yet, but I have always said if It was up to me save my child not me….is that bad?”
