A frustrated mother has revealed that she’s starting to hate her 6-year-old son because he doesn’t want to go to the toilet.
In a post on Reddit, she explained that her son was potty trained when he was two. But when he turned three, he started refusing to use the toilet and started to ‘s*** himself constantly.’
The frustrated mother explained that she has already done everything to encourage her son to use the toilet but he doesn’t want to.
“SIX! And STILL pooping himself. Hasn’t s*** in a toilet in THREE YEARS,” the mother said in her blistering post.
She explained that she tried to get her child re-potty trained and even took him to “doctors, hospitals, therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy,” but nothing seemed to work.
The mother explained that she started feeling ‘hate and disgust’ towards her 6-year-old son because of his actions.
“I can’t let him hang out with friends, can’t bring him anywhere with me, can’t go on vacation, long car rides, or even the f***ing park because he will s*** himself constantly,” she continued.
Despite her best efforts, she said that her son ‘doesn’t see anything wrong’ with soiling himself and does not care about his toilet habits.
“He says he’s fine with smelling bad and not having friends because of it,” the mother added. “All of his cousins make fun of him and so do the kids at school, but he just doesn’t care.”
Parents were quick to share their thoughts, with one writing: “Don’t resent him. He is going through something he does not quite understand and putting him under pressure will make your relationship with him far worse for the future.”
Another said: “Your frustration is totally understandable but it sounds like it is so intense that it’s impacting your life. You need to take care of yourself, too.”
