99-Year-Old Woman With ONE HUNDRED Great-Grandchildren Reveals Why She Almost Didn’t Have Her Own Family


An elderly woman with one hundred great-grandchildren has opened up about her large family and her incredible life story.

99-year-old Marguerite Koller is a Pennsylvania lady who is about to become the first centenarian with 100 great-grandchildren in the coming months.

Marking the birth of her 100th grandchild, Koller spoke out and revealed how she almost made the decision to become childless for life when she was young.

According to the future centenarian from Blue Bell, she was determined to become a nun and devote her life to the convent before meeting her late husband, William.

And after the couple welcomed their first child, Marguerite knew she wanted to have a huge family.

While she initially wanted to have 12 children, she settled on 11. After her children grew up, they, too, started big families of their own, providing the woman with as many as 56 grandchildren.

Decades later, the woman already has 100 great-grandchildren and is looking forward to more.

“I’m just thinking how lucky I am,” she said in an interview with NBC Philadelphia.

Speaking to 6 ABC, she added: “I wanted to have a big family. I think it’s difficult being an only child — it’s lonely.”

While memorizing all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s names may be a challenge, Koller to this day remains a dedicated grandmother and the rock of her family who always takes time to bond with the youths.

“She has created an amazing legacy spanning through generations,” granddaughter Christine Balster said as she revealed that her grandmother wouldn’t miss even one graduation or baptism.
