A young TikToker mom explained that she gave birth 50 minutes after finding out she was pregnant and while she was also on pills.
Hannah Violet, 23, has shared her experience on TikTok, revealing details about the surprise birth of her daughter. She said that she was shocked to discover she was pregnant as she was a size six and was on the pill.
In a clip she shared, she wrote a text saying “Me: There’s no chance of me getting pregnant cause I’m on the pill.” Then another text reads: “Also me: Doesn’t know I’m pregnant until 50 minutes before I give birth.”
In her previous videos, Hannah spoke more about her experience on her pregnancy and childbirth stories. She explained that she woke up one morning with severe pain in her stomach and back and was rushed to hospital with suspected appendicitis when her waters then broke.
The young mom had no idea she was pregnant, especially as she had been using contraception during intercourse, as she revealed in an earlier video, and when she developed pain in her stomach, she presumed she was constipated.
Hannah said: “Me waking up one morning in a lot of pain in my stomach and back, thinking I’m constipated.”
She said her dad found her on the toilet and her mom told him to call 111 for urgent medical advice. They told them over the phone that it could be appendicitis and that an ambulance was on its way. She says: “They then call back and say no ambulances are available and that my dad has to take me to A&E. ”
At the hospital, it soon became apparent that Hannah, then around 20 years old, was about to give birth.
She said: “We get to the hospital and they want to take blood, but I’m in too much pain to stay still for them to get a needle in, two seconds later my waters break and they tell me I’m in labor. They took my parents into a room to tell them that they’re about to be grandparents.”
She continued: “I then ask for my mom to be with and my dad stays in the room with tea and biscuits while he calls my brother. They then get midwives to come from the other side of the hospital, I give birth to a baby girl 50 minutes later.”
“They then tell me that we have to be transferred to another hospital in separate ambulances and that I can go in my dad’s car after giving birth. I’m now a single mom to a healthy three-year-old,” she added.
It also seems that Hannah had mixed experiences with the team who were in charge of her care. In one video she said: “I gave birth 50 minutes after finding out I was pregnant then had to spend two days in the hospital with midwives that provided hardly any support.”
But in another video, she posted a tribute to the paramedic who cared for her. She says: “To the paramedic who stayed by my side the whole time after she told me I was pregnant and in labor and kept me calm throughout the delivery of my daughter. I’ll never forget you.”
Many people start to share similar stories, in response to her message, stating that they are the same. One person said: “Same with me except it was 27 weeks same contraception.”
Another said: “I found out at 34 weeks and was on the same pill! My daughter will be seven in May!”
