They say nothing can be a bigger blessing in life than the glad tidings of a baby.
But one pregnant mother is sharing her absolute shock and heartbreak regarding her in-laws who fail to acknowledge the true gender of her baby.
The woman put forward her story on an online platform where she claims to be in a super awkward position. And that’s because her in-laws can’t help but accept the fact that her unborn child is a girl.
Moreover, they keep referring to the child as their son and that makes the mother feel so uncomfortable.
While the mother chose to keep her identity hidden, she says that it hurts to see how people can be so selfish towards others, especially considering the fact that there are other people’s sentiments being hurt along the way.
“I was delighted to find out that I’m having a baby girl. The scan made me so happy but my husband wasn’t too happy about it, neither was his family”- the woman continued.
But they were informed of the news, which they at first felt was a lie. Moreover, they even asked her to get another scan done to make sure the results were accurate because they had a hard time accepting it.
For the mother-to-be, the biggest and most heartbreaking shock was when they threw her a baby shower that was fit for a boy.
The pregnant woman said she felt she had enough, and it was time to put her feet firmly on the ground and simply walk out.
“Babies are blessings and mine is a girl. If they can’t be happy about it, then I can’t do anything”- she explained.
The anonymous post on Reddit has gone viral, ever since it was posted. And plenty of people spoke their minds on how the soon-to-be mom was totally right in her actions because it was the only way they could be taught a lesson.
