Birthdays are often celebrated with family and close friends but one daughter broke down in tears when no one turned up to her mother’s birthday party even after she had invited more than 40 people.
Taking to TikTok, Addie shared her frustration and explained how her mother prepared food and cleaned the whole house for the party but no one showed up.
Her video quickly went viral and gained thousands of comments from well-wishers who greeted the mother a happy birthday. It even received attention from a Stranger Things actor!
“My mum threw herself a birthday party and invited over 40 people,” Addie said.
“It’s 5 pm, no one showed up and it started at 4 pm, I’m crying.”
She captioned her post: “She made food and cleaned the whole house too.”
Thousands of TikTok users wished the mother a very happy birthday, but one of the messages that stood out was from Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp.
“I would be there! Happy birthday,” the star wrote.
Another commented: “This breaks my heart but she is so blessed to have you.”
A third said: “Omg this literally hurts my heart I’ll show up for her.”
Someone else added: “I will show up just for her, she deserves so much better.”
Addie later shared another video that shows her and her sisters singing a happy birthday song to their mother.
“Even though it was just me and my sisters to sing to her, thank you to everyone who was showing her love.”
In another video, she said: “Guys, mum is ok, she is happy, thank you for everything that you’ve been saying. Don’t worry she has 180k people wishing her happy late/birthday.”
