A father was left heartbroken after throwing a birthday party for his son but none of his friends turned up.

In a saddening video he shared on TikTok, his son can be seen playing alone at his Spiderman-themed birthday party as nobody arrived to celebrate his big day with him.

The clip also shows tables and seats for many children and there is also a trampoline for them to have more fun.

“He invited all his little friends to his party and nobody came,” the heartbroken dad wrote with Paloma Faith’s Only Love Can Hurt Like This playing in the background.

Another part of the video that left viewers in tears is when the birthday boy started hitting a Spiderman piñata by himself without anyone to share the hidden candies with.

Social media users were saddened by the dad’s video, with one person writing: “Happened to my child on his 5th birthday and never again did a party instead used the funds for him and to him! Its sad.”

Another shared: “My son had a similar experience when my son was younger and from then on he just wanted those that love him with him to celebrate.”

A third said: “Aww bless him! hope he had a nice day with his family at least! the people that love him are the people that matter!”

Someone else added: “Invite me I got like 8 kids we will scatter them on the tables so it looks like a lot of people came.”

It is clear that the young boy has a loving family who exerted a lot of effort into making his day extra special even though none of his friends arrived.
