Customers at a supermarket were left shocked after they found a baby alone in a trolley.
One customer who saw the child sitting in a trolley said that his parents were nowhere to be seen.
According to The Sun, the boy’s parents drove home with their groceries and completely forgot about their son.
Fortunately, shoppers were quick to call security and the police in Lages, Brazil, with one shopper recording the incident.
In the video, customers could be heard asking where his parents were.
“Have they left you here?” they asked.
“I’ve called security. Where are your mommy and daddy?”
“Where? Where are your forgetful mother and father?”
By the time police arrived at the supermarket, the boy’s parents had also returned and told cops how they had left the supermarket, placed their grocery items into their vehicle, and drove home, forgetting to put their child in the car.
They also explained that they drove back to the store right away when they realized their massive mistake.
Fortunately, the child was fine and was also filmed smiling by shoppers who found him alone in the supermarket trolley.
Fort Atacadista, the supermarket company where the incident happened, said in a statement: “In a few minutes everything went back to normal and was resolved.”
One person commented: “Sounds strange but it can be easily done! New mothers hormones everywhere forgetfulness. I nearly done it myself.”
Another wrote: “We’ve all done it. I left my son in the middle of Dartmoor..Idiot found his way home though. He’s 32 now and I can’t get shot of him…”
A third added: “My husband and I were leaving a friends house after dinner. I opened the gate so he could drive out and off he went! Realised he had left me after 5 mins of driving!”
