Eric Trump suggested there is “unequal justice” in the country after a recent revelation concerning the new head of the DOJ’s Criminal Division.
The former president’s son accused the Biden administration of hypocrisy and suggested America is full of double standards during his Fox News appearance on Tuesday.
Trump’s comments follow after Fox News revealed that Nicholas McQuaid, who was appointed as Criminal Division’s Acting Assistant Attorney General and Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General by Biden, is a former associate of Hunter Biden’s attorney.
According to the reports, McQuaid was previously a colleague of Hunter’s lawyer, Christopher Clark, at the Latham & Watkins law firm. Clark was hired by the president’s son after Hunter’s federal tax probe kicked off.
Taking aim at the Biden administration and the new head of the Criminal Division, Eric Trump suggested things would have been much different if his father did something like that.
“Can you imagine if my father ever tried to do that?” he said. “There is unequal balance of justice in this country, and half of America sees it, and it’s quite frankly disturbing to them.”
During his interview with Fox News, Trump went on to insist that hypocrisy and “double standards” are taking place across the country.
“We’ve talked about this a million times. The things that get said about me and Don and Ivanka and Tiffany and Barron and our whole family, there is a double standard in this country. There is unequal justice in this country,” he said.
As Eric added, “they tried to manufacture everything under the sun against” the former POTUS and his children. He also blasted the Democrats’ efforts to convict his father even though he is already a private citizen.
Besides lashing out at the current administration, Trump also took the opportunity to slam Biden’s executive orders as he called them “disastrous” and said they will lead to the loss of thousands of jobs.
Since taking office on January 20, Biden has already signed over forty executive orders. As the President insisted, however, he wasn’t making new law but merely removing “bad policy.”
