Pete Davidson Reveals What Bob Saget Did To Help Him Overcome His Issues With Mental Health


Pete Davidson has opened up about his friendship with Bob Saget as he revealed that the comedian had helped him get through his mental health struggles.

Hollywood figures have been rallying to pay a tribute to 65-year-old stand-up comedian and actor Bob Saget after the Full House star was found dead in his hotel room in Florida.

Among the celebrities who praised Bob for his kindness and his dedication to his career was also comedian and SNL member Pete Davidson who revealed that Saget went to great lengths to help him deal with his issues when he was younger.

“Just wanted you guys to know that Bob Saget was one of the nicest men on the planet. When I was younger and several times throughout our friendship he helped me get through some rough mental health stuff,” Davidson wrote in his statement which was shared on Twitter by his colleague.

“He stayed on the phone with my mom for hours trying to help in anyway he can – connecting us with doctors and new things we can try. He would check in on me and make sure I was okay.”

He added: “I love you Bob it was an honor to know you. Thank you for your kindness and friendship. My condolences to the family.”

Meanwhile, hundreds of other entertainment personalities spoke out and dubbed the Full House star a generous, kind, and extremely fun individual.

“Beautiful Bob Saget passed away today at 65. He had a big, big heart and a wonderfully warped comic mind. He gave the world a lot of joy and lived his life for goodness’ sake,” Jim Carrey wrote.
