Kanye West has signaled he remains determined to stay close to his family as he bought a multi-million house just yards away from his estranged wife.
Months after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce and just two weeks after she petitioned a judge to recognize her as formally single, her estranged husband, Ye West, purchased a $4.5 million home just across the street from her massive $60 million mansion.
It has since also been reported that Ye went nearly half a million over the listed price presumably to make sure no one would outbid him.
Though the KUWTK star, who recently passed California’s baby bar exam, already appeared to have moved on and found comfort in Pete Davidson, the rapper previously expressed his wishes to reconcile with Kim and make their family whole again.
Now, he took another step forward in that direction by buying a 5-bedroom, 3651-square-foot house in the exclusive Hidden Hills neighborhood.
While the home is said to be in need of renovation, the one-acre property boasts of swimming pool, a stable, and a horse corral.
The hefty purchase comes shortly after West begged his estranged wife to take him back during his performance of Runaway at the ‘Free Larry Hoover’ concert.
“I need you to run right back to me, more specifically Kimberly,” the rapper cried out as he came up with the improvised line.
Recently, the 44-year-old also insisted that he and Kim are “not even divorced” during a Drink Champs interview.
“SNL making my wife say, ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off. And I ain’t never even seen the papers; we’re not even divorced. That ain’t no joke to me,” West said in November.
