Jason Momoa has reportedly been living in a van outside his friend’s home following his surprise split from wife Lisa Bonet.
The 42-year-old Aquaman star recently revealed that he and his wife are taking separate paths and “parting ways in marriage” to allow each other to grow individually.
Now, Momoa was pictured in a torn shirt outside his prestigious EarthRoamer XV-LTi 026 RV in the front yard of his friend’s property in Topanga, Los Angeles.
While it is not clear if the actor had already officially moved out of the home he shared with Lisa, he appeared content with his $750,000 van when he left the vehicle for a morning walk.
The luxurious customized van reportedly comes with an outdoor kitchen and is equipped with a king-size bed. It appears to be a perfect fit for the outdoorsman who loves adventures and life on the road.
As an insider previously revealed in an interview with The Sun, Momoa would choose his van over a private jet and resort any time.
“He stays in it quite often and has opted to sleep in there instead of getting a hotel on set so he can be by the beach. He’s really not a private jet, luxury resort kind of guy,” the source explained.
An insider also told People that “different focuses” were the main reason behind the rift between Lisa and Jason. According to the source, the split didn’t happen overnight but was a work in progress.
They said: “A few years ago, Jason was struggling to find work. Now his career is booming. And he wants to keep working as much as he can.”
Lisa, on the other hand, was allegedly content with staying at her LA home, meaning that the couple was forced to spend a lot of time apart.
“It’s not going to be some scandalous divorce where they trash talk each other. They are both very spiritual and believe in a higher power,” the source concluded.
