Shocking video footage captured a terrifying moment where a dog walker gets smashed by enormous waves hitting against a seawall during a violent storm in Devon.

The woman put her life at risk as rough waves battered the coastline at Devon’s Goodrington beach in Paignton.
Forty-four-year-old Wayne Kingsley, who filmed the footage, watched the scary sequence with his wife and son in disbelief.
He shot the clip at approximately 7:45 p.m. as humongous waves battered the shore, and noted that the woman could have swept out to sea.
The waves were so powerful that they moved wooden beach huts down and up the promenade in the video.
It was high time and robust easterly winds were forming large waves big enough to destroy the huts and toss seawater towards nearby homes.
But when Wayne saw a woman walking with a dog alone the flooded path beneath him, he could not believe what he was looking at.
He said that as a local lad he knew what it gets like down there. He revealed that the pedestrian section was flooded entirely and the waves were pounding the beach huts leaving the spread everywhere.
Wayne told that he saw the woman taking a walk around from the cliff walk area.
She was walking along the path almost 40 feet below Wayne. She initially stopped along a beach hut to avoid a wave, but then, carried on only to be struck by a large wave.
He noted that while the dog looked terrified, she got completely battered. Wayne added that he is an ex-navy but the woman clearly does not understand the power of the ocean, as she could have been swept off under the railings into the sea.
He called the act stupid, and the lady silly for doing so.
He further added that despite being 40 feet above her, he was soaked; such powerful were the waves.
