Everyone knows (or at least, would like to believe) that money doesn’t buy you everything.

But it’s still a fact that money can get you a lot of things especially if you’re a billionaire. Unfortunately, dance skills are not one of them.

Watch Elon Musk’s dance off below.

Still, that didn’t seem to faze Elon Musk, the eccentric billionaire who brought us Tesla and SpaceX, as he did his boogie as if no one was watching although he was, in fact, on-stage in front of a very large crowd.

Musk’s impromptu jig happened at an event marking the first deliveries of Tesla Model 3 vehicles that were manufactured in the company’s Shanghai plant. Musk started dancing almost immediately after walking onto the stage with employees and Tesla (TSLA) owners probably getting to know a little more about Musk than they wanted to.

Musk started by throwing off his blazer then he bopped around, waltzing and prancing for about 30 seconds. The crowd appreciatively laughed and gasped but if the one writing your paycheck wants to make you laugh, then you better laugh.

To be fair, a little comedy is important to society. If we’re unable to laugh at ourselves, then we need to start questioning if we’re still civilized at all.

Musk himself seems to know this and even joked about his performance on his Twitter account, describing it as “not safe for work.”

Still, Musk had every reason to be happy enough to dance like your drunk uncle. After a rough 2019, Tesla has been off to a good start so far.

In December, a California jury’s verdict ruled that British caver Vernon Unsworth was not defamed when Musk sent a tweet describing Unsworth as a “pedo guy.” Tesla’s stock is also up by 160% at an all-time high, a stark contrast from June 2019 when it reached a 52-week low. Skeptics and Wall Street were also surprised by Tesla’s strong sales and profit numbers.

The company is also making headway in China with Musk announcing that the Model Y, its lower-end SUV, will also be manufactured in Tesla’s Shanghai factory. He also revealed plans for opening a design center in China focused on creating an “original car” that will be sold around the world.

Perhaps most importantly, at least Musk’s jig was better than Steve Ballmer’s infamous “monkey boy dance.” At Microsoft’s 25th anniversary event in 2000, the former Microsoft CEO hopped around the stage in tune to Gloria Estefan’s “Get On Your Feet” while shrieking like a maniac the whole time.
