Ellen DeGeneres is ‘at the end of her rope’ as rumors she is ‘mean’ have continued to go around and it seems that she has had enough.
The source close to the TV host told US Weekly that “Ellen is at the end of her rope” and said that the 62-year-old is dismayed that the rumors are “not a passing thing.”
Only a few days ago, a former staffer of Ellen DeGeneres show claimed the host “isn’t always nice” as rumors continue to circulate over Ellen’s alleged bad behavior behind the scenes.
“Is she always nice? No. It irritates me that people think she’s all sweetness and light and she gets away with it,” the staffer claimed, adding: “The stories are all true!”
The rumors and stories about the host started after Kevin T. Porter took to Twitter in March and asked people to write him “the most insane stories they have heard” about the comedienne in an effort to raise funds for the Los Angeles Food Bank.
But Porter received messages from various social media users who claimed to have had bad interactions with the multimillionaire.
Ellen was then slammed online after cracking a joke on her show that being home during the coronavirus pandemic was similar to being behind bars.
“This is like being in jail.” Ellen said during her morning show. “Mostly because I’ve been wearing the same clothes for 10 days and everyone in here is gay,” she added.
One Twitter user commented: “What a great look for Ellen as thousands of people sit in actual jail cells just hoping for the best without soap and basic protections.”
Another wrote: “Ellen you quarantining in your mansion in designer sweats is nothing like prison.”
A third said: “Yeah, if jail was you being able to sit outside, with access to your devices and adequate food and the ability to care for yourself and those you love. I haven’t been but jail is NOT like that.”
