The two-year-old girl who made him happy will surely remember him forever.

He spent most of his life living in Barry town in the Vale of Glamorgan. Throughout his time, he had exciting and interesting jobs.

At one time, he was a salvage diver and worked in the military air force of the UK.

Williams family, who moved in next door to him, only knew Ken in his final years. He was already 83 when they moved in.

The Williams found out that even though their neighbor was old, he was still full of energy and spirit of adventure. When they first encountered him, he was on top of a 20-foot ladder!

Ken even completed at least three parachute jumps in his 80s, and when that started to get boring, he even tried wing walking!

He had numerous interesting hobbies, including searching for treasure using a metal detector and playing the accordion.

However, a tragedy struck when his wife passed away. Ken became lonely and would always lock himself for days.

Concerned about his wellbeing, the Williams family decided to spend more time with him.

Caroline and Owen Williams would always visit him and Ken became like a family member to them.

Then one day, Caroline announced that she was pregnant, and Ken was so happy for them. He had raised two children himself as well as his grandchildren, and it had been many years since he had taken care of a baby.

When Cadi was born, Ken formed a strong bond with her. She reminded him so much of his own daughter.

But as the little girl was growing into a toddler, Ken was growing weaker. He really wanted to see Cadi grow up but he knew he hadn’t long left to live.

Sadly, Ken passed away.

His daughter then arrived a few days before Christmas with a giant sack filled with gifts.

She explained that Ken had spent his final days buying and wrapping the presents.

He had always said that he would survive to 100 but he became weaker in 2018. He wanted Cadi to open one gift every Christmas for the next 14 years, until she was 16, the year he would’ve been 100.
