Singers Ed Sheeran and Don McLean have sent their fans into a tizzy with their surprise duet of the song Vincent’s backstage performance.
The musicians were performing the song for the UCLA Health and Teen Cancer America event. A recorded piece of the practice session a few minutes before the show was uploaded by Don McLean on Twitter with a caption that read, “Ed & I rehearsing Vincent for the big show! Ed is a quick study… turned out great (sic)”.
Vincent is a heartfelt tribute song that was penned down in 1971 for the painter Vincent Van Gogh, and Ed put his strumming skills to use to give it a whole new flavor.
The Shape Of You hitmaker also strummed some notes on his guitar as he belted out the lyrics to the track with Don.
Keen to show off their own singing finesse, Ed, and Don each took turns to voice the verses to the tune.
Impressed with his partner, Don remarked: ‘Ed is a quick study… turned out great.’
He later added on social: ‘Tonight I had the honor of performing with 3 of my favorite artists. Roger Daltrey, Ed Sheeran, and Van Morrison. They are the finest artists and the finest people I have met in this business.’

During the new trailer, the Castle On The Hill hitmaker playfully claims ‘I don’t have any ideas anymore’ as he sits in his car.
However, he speaks of a new confidence with this album, revealing he considers it to be his finest work yet.
He said: ‘I just have a weird since it’s going to be the career-defining album. All the songs have a thread and it’s all family.
‘I feel like I am at the peak of my writing and musical ability. I might not get this again. The last two albums have been leading up to this. It feels magical.’
