The Jumanji actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has revealed that he and his entire family tested positive for COVID-19.
As the 48-year-old Hollywood star revealed, both he, his wife Lauren, and the couple’s daughters contracted coronavirus. According to the actor, however, they appear to have recovered from the disease and are “no longer contagious.”
“Testing positive for COVID-19 is a lot different than recovering from nasty injuries, getting evicted or being broke, which I’ve been more than a few times,” the Rampage star said in his Instagram video as he addressed his followers.
“My No. 1 priority is to always protect my family and my loved ones… I wish it was only me that tested positive. It was my entire family and it was a kick in the gut. We in a family are good, we’re on the other end of it and no longer contagious. Thank God, we’re healthy.”
As the 48-year-old father went on to suggest, his family is feeling grateful for a swift recovery from the disease.
“We are counting our blessings right now. We are well aware you don’t always get to the other end of COVID-19 stronger and healthier,” the Hollywood star added.
“I have had some of my best friends lose their parents to this virus that is so incredibly relentless and unforgiving. We are counting our blessings, but we are good.”
Encouraging people to take caution, Dwayne warned his fans not to let their guard down when hanging out with friends and family members even though they are not strangers.
“They can be quarantining just like you guys. You still never know. You never know,” he said. “Don’t let your guard down, boosts your immunity with antioxidants, vitamins, things of that nature.”
