As part of her morning ritual, Barbara gets a coffee from the Dutch Bros.
in Vancouver, Washington. But today was a bit different.
Barbara was next in line to get her coffee but the person in front of her was taking a long time to move forward. A Dutch Bros employee was talking with the woman in front of Barbara, when all of a sudden two more employees gathered at the window. Barbara was even more confused as to what was taking so long.
But then suddenly Barbara noticed all of the employees bunch group tightly together and lean out through the drive-thru window. They were holding the woman’s hand at once. Barbara knew this was this something special and immediately took a picture.
After that interesting moment, the woman drove away not too long afterwards and Barbara was finally able to get her coffee. Barbara decided to find out what that moment she just witnessed was. She asked the employees and the answer she received will truly warm your heart with this amazing act of kindness.
After learning about the amazing story, Barbara quickly posted the photo along with the story to her Facebook where it immediately became viral, attracting thousands of eyes.
So what was happening at the Dutch Bros that day? Why had all of the employees leaned out of the window for this woman?
“Snapped this picture while waiting in line at the Dutch Bros on 138th Avenue today. Turns out the young lady in line ahead of us lost her 37-year-old husband last night.”
“When the DB guys & gals noticed she was falling apart, they stopped everything and prayed with her for several minutes, invited her to come back for prayer and support, as well as anything else that she might need.
Prayers for the young family, and you know where to stop for coffee!”
This moving story of kindhearted employees isn’t the only one coming out of Dutch Bros. The coffee company is also raising money for Officer Nathan Taylor who was recently killed on duty. You can see a video about the amazing fundraiser down below and a way for you as a reader to help.
Truly a moving act of kindness from these kindhearted souls.
