Chapel Royal of the St. James’s will witness the christening of Prince Louis of Cambridge, fifth in line for the throne.
The big day will be attended by all close relatives of the Royal family of England. Princess Charlotte and Prince George will be seen with their younger brother for the first time. The newlyweds, Duke and the Duchess of Sussex will be present in the ceremony too. Kate’s brother James Middleton and her sister Pippa Mathews are expected to be present for the christening too.
It will be the first time that William and Kate will be seen together with all three of their children.
As a part of the christening, Prince Louis’s God Parents will also be announced on this day, and they will take part in the traditional ceremonies in the oak-paneled chapel.
It is still a mystery as to who will play the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge announce the Godparents of their youngest son. Speculations are running into the country that Miguel Head, who is leaving his post next month as Prince Williams’s trusted private secretary will be announced the godfather.
Cambridge is known to turn to close relatives and family to hold the position, and they might consider someone from Williams’s cousins, Princess Beatrice, Peter Phillips, Princess Eugene, or Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor. Opting for someone from amongst the family will be a move which is sure to please the Queen of England.
As Prince George and Princess Charlotte, their younger brother will also enter the christen faith wearing the same frilly, laced, cream robe which is the replica of the intricate lace and satin gown designed for the christening of Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter in 1841.
Most Reverend Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, will perform the christening for the youngest Prince of Cambridge.
