Jim and Sarah Koning decided to adopt these two little girls, Neveah of 17 months old and Danielle Ross of 5 years old.
Danielle was a huge Disney fairytale fan.
The couple reached to the Kent County’s Circuit Court on June 8, 2016, for the legal adoption court hearing.
It was to be held there. To surprise Danielle on such an important day of her life, the court had some special plans. 7 Disney princesses and prince charming came there to support her and make her feel special. All the seven princes and prince charming were present there to watch her new family to take her responsibility.
Danielle was not sure what was happening until she realized all the characters were there at the court. The 5-year-old little doll had so much joy all over the face as she was overwhelmed.
Judge Patricia Gardner did not lag behind in making her joy even greater. She came dressed as Snow White under her robe. She asked Danielle if she wants her to take off her robe and Danielle happily said yes to it.
Danielle said, “I was happy to see all the princesses who came for me, and I really liked what they said to me.”
The idea of this theme for adoption hearing was given by Kristin grey, care manager of this foster program. She worked with Danielle and wanted this day less scary and more special for her. Her idea definitely made Danielle’s day.
