Mensah drove his car to Reading, Berkshire, in order to pick up a friend when a middle-aged man who was smartly dressed suddenly approached his car. Speaking to Metro, the 24-year-old comedian said: “I was confused so I pulled my phone out and started recording. And I filmed him entering the car. He said someone from the bar booked him an Uber. I said, ‘Who booked your Uber? I’m not your Uber bruv!'”

Mensah later shared the clip on his Instagram page Menszh and in it, he could be heard asking: “Where you trying to get to, mate?” To which the man replied: “Let’s go to the, uhh. Oh, what’s it called? Hotel, umm… the Crowne Plaza.”

While the man appeared as if he was falling asleep, Mensah clarified that his impromptu passenger was just on the phone. He said: “He was on his phone looking for his address for about 10 minutes.”

After the man confirmed where he wanted to go, Mensah decided to humor the guy and bring him there.

Mensah’s Instagram clip quickly went viral after he uploaded it.

And it turns out that wasn’t the end of the story. Owing to the viral nature of the video, the man himself managed to watch it after one of his neighbors recognized him. Mensah uploaded a subsequent video that showed their second encounter and they had a good laugh about it on FaceTime. The man admitted that he was inebriated at the time, adding: “Everyone thought I had dementia, I was just pissed.”
