Spencer Grammer, Kelsey Grammer’s actress daughter, was attacked by a drunk man while trying to break up a fight outside an NYC restaurant.
The incident occurred at The Blank Ant in New York City’s East Village where Spencer was dining with Jan Phillip Mueller when a drunk man walked in and demanded a table.
After starting an argument with the staff at around 11.30 pm, the intoxicated male allegedly became aggressive and Spencer, who is best known for voicing Summer Smith in Rick and Morty, moved closer in an attempt to break up the fight.
As the drunk man was approached by the actress, he pulled out a blade and cut Grammer’s arm. When the star’s dinner date rushed to her aid and attempted to pull the attacker away, he got slashed as well.
“Everyone jumped out of their seats. About 15 people maybe. Everyone was trying to pull them apart, it looked like there was a full-on brawl,” one of the witnesses said in an interview with The New York Post.
Following the attack, Mueller and Grammer were taken to the hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
As for the knifeman, he had fled the scene before the police arrived. As of this writing, the attacker, described as “buff” and “bald,” is still on the run and remains to be identified.
According to the witness that spoke out to The New York Post, both the actress and her dinner date suffered “deep” cuts at the time of the attack.
