Driver Shot Man Who Was Crossing The Street In Front Of His Car


A driver has been charged with capital murder after shooting a pedestrian several times because the man used too much of his time while crossing the street in front of his vehicle.

The incident occurred in Union Springs, Alabama, where 22-year-old Jeremiah Wesley Penn riddled 29-year-old Johnarian Travez Allen with bullets following a dispute over the speed of the victim’s crossing of the street.

According to Fox, Penn exited his car and confronted Allen because he believed that the pedestrian didn’t cross the street quickly enough after he had stopped his car to let him pass.

After engaging in a verbal exchange, Penn shot Allen eight times and caused him to die on the spot.

By the time the police arrived at the scene of the shooting, the 22-year-old had allegedly already escaped. Later on, however, Penn turned himself in and confessed to the murder.

“The Union Springs Police Department responded to a fatal shooting of 29-year-old Joharian Allen on Thursday, August 28th, near Underwood Avenue and Baskin Street around 7:00 pm after a verbal altercation,” the police confirmed in a Facebook post.

“Jermiah Penn, 22, has been charged with Capital Murder in the death of Joharian Allen. Penn later turned himself in to an off duty Sheriff Deputy Chad Faulkner.”

As the police revealed, Penn and Allen are not believed to have known one another. They also confirmed that the shooter was on his way to the store when he got into a fight with Allen.
