Our society is still not very open to people with disability.

They are suffering from the stereotypes such as that they are different from others and always need helps from other people.

However, we have seen that they are able to have a job in acting, work at McDonald’s for 32 years, and ride a motorcycle.

But people with disability face terrible stereotyping and discrimination every day.

Tim from Albuquerque is the only restaurant owner with Down syndrome in the United States. His employees are happy to work with him and customers are delighted to see him at the restaurant.

Tim’s restaurant, “Tim’s Place” has been successful for the last five years but Tim noticed that his restaurant will be closing. Employees and customers were so disappointed and sad to lose their favorite place in town.

However, people around Tim were happy for him because he found the true love Tiffani Johnson and decided to move to Denver and marry her. That is why he is closing his place. He plans to open a new restaurant there.

Tim told CBS, “[When I look into her eyes], I see love. I see joy. And I see that I have a future here.”

I can see that Tim and Tiffani love each other so much in the video below. They support and rely on each other and of course like each other.

We don’t often see this kind of story but this is one of the sweetest stories in my life. Their love melted my heart and I don’t want you to miss that.
