“It has brought so much hurt. Is this not classed as a hate crime? If we had put that up about an entire race, it would be classed as racism and hate speech.”

Caroline’s son has Down’s Syndrome and it made her really upset.

Rachel, from New Hartley, Northumberland, shared the picture on social media as the mother knew it was on sale for Down’s Syndrome Day.

She said: “Amazon UK selling and promoting this product is dehumanizing for anyone with Down’s Syndrome. It’s discrimination and it’s verging on promoting hate crime.”

Rachel said it shows a lack of tolerance, inclusion, and acceptance and she wonders how many people have actually bought it.

She said it shouldn’t even exist in the first place as it promotes hate crime.

The t-shirt has been taken down after Caroline and Rachel flagged the product.
