After the tragic incident, one of the family members posted about the event and asked for prayers. Then, one woman in the local area who read the news asked if donated breast milk could help. Soon, others were donating breast milk as well.

More than 500 ounces of breast milk were donated for Cora in less than two days.point 190 |
KTVU newscaster Claudine Wong also shared a photo of a friend that she had received, which were large coolers packed with the bags of breast milk.point 311 |

“It’s amazing what people do when they found out there is a need and find out that they can help,” wrote Wong on Facebook.point 117 | 1

The donated milk will be given to Cora after being tested and screened, but the family estimates that the milk will be enough to feed her for more than a month.

Now, the family announced that they won’t be accepting breast milk donations for Cora.
Instead, they asked willing mothers to donate to local milk banks in Zerebny’s name.
A gofundme page has also been set up for the surviving family members of Zerebny.
