President Trump may not be everyone’s apple of the eye when it comes to politics.
But one thing is for sure: he knows how to manage a good hotel.
The Trump International Hotel and Tower in New York City has been named the ‘Best in the World’ by a travel magazine.
The luxurious property, which overlooks Central Park, managed to beat Vatuvara Private Island in Fiji, a hotel Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle once stayed at.
The two hotels occupy the top two spots in the top ten rankings of hotels by the UK-based magazine ‘Luxury Lifestyle Magazine.’
Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, which was the number one hotel last year, came in the third-place this year.
Fourth place on the list is the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort is in the fifth.
Nick Gibbens, editor-in-chief of the UK-based magazine, said: “He clearly divides opinion on a political level but there is no question about it, Trump is a master hotelier.
“He understands what super luxury is all about and delivers the very best experience possible, usually exceeding expectations.
“He employs only the very best hotel staff and this ensures he can offer guests the most enjoyable of stays.
“It’s also interesting to see a city hotel beat a tropical paradise in the case of Vatuvara Private Island but our readers know luxury when they see it and I am grateful for their assistance in helping us crown the very best hotels in the world.”
Readers of the Luxury Lifestyle Magazine were also surveyed on their favorite hotels in UK across a number of categories.
The best boutique property is The Jack Russell Inn, Hampshire, the best beach hotel is The Headland Hotel and Spa, Cornwall, and the best city location is the Grand Central Hotel, Belfast.
