According to a fresh and shocking Huffington Post analysis, the President of the U.
S. has already spent a total of over $100 million on golf outings since taking office.
As the analysis details, a whopping $102 million had been spent on arranging Trump’s golf outings. The bill amounts for all travel expenses including accommodation and security.
Allegedly, the president has spent $81 million on golfing at his Florida courses he visited 24 times since taking the presidential seat.
In addition, $1 million was spent on his L. A. visit, $3 million on his 2-day tour in Trump International Golf Links in Scotland, and approximately $17 million on New Jersey’s Trump National Golf Club Bedminster visits on 15 occasions.
Trump, who’s always been a huge golf fan, is expected to add up to the total bill substantially by the end of the next month when Trump is heading to his golf club in Ireland.
According to the White House, the President will be meeting Irish Prime Minister just miles away from his resort in Doonbeg. While Trump suggested for the two to meet at his resort, the Irish government deemed his suggestion inappropriate for the occasion. As a part of the 75th D-Day anniversary, Trump will also be traveling to France and England.
Speaking of the planned meetings, a source said: “Protocol dictates that any event they host for President Trump should be at a venue of their choosing and certainly not at a hotel owned by Trump. It is a bit unseemly to demand that the Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) host President Trump at his hotel.”
The accusations about Trump’s expenditures came to light years after Republicans began criticizing former President Barack Obama for spending taxpayers’ money on golfing.
As it turned out, however, Trump has so far already spent twice the number of days on golfing as Obama did during the entire first term.
Despite rejecting the presidential salary that would cost taxpayers $400,000 a year, Trump has allegedly spent 255 times the amount of taxpayers’ money on golfing alone.
