There are loads of videos online where we have witnesses animal rescues and rehabilitation projects.
These animal lovers are doing a wonderful job, helping the mute, innocent creatures have a safe, happy and warm home.
However, not all rescue projects are about cats, dogs, and other domesticated pets. There are instances where people have come across a wild animal in danger and gallantly stepped up to help it.
This is one such instance, where a family that was out on a boat ride in Australia discovered a helpless dolphin all tangled up in seaweed.
The poor creature was unable to free itself and was squirming in vain trying to untangle the slimy mess for a long time.
The man of the family decided to help the dolphin out of the mess. He stepped into the chilly waters, supported only by a rope that was tied to his torso.
Now, rescuing a frightened animal that is in a vulnerable state can be a dangerous mission. Most wild creatures don’t trust humans very easily and often tend to attack becoming very aggressive when approached by one.
Here, the dolphin upon seeing a human coming for her became frantic in her attempts to break free.
It took a great deal of patience and perseverance for the man to finally calm the dolphin and pet its fin in slow and soothing movements.
The water is about waist high, which was another problem as the man had to maneuver his way around the dolphin to find an appropriate angle. With his right hand still petting the creature and the left busy untangling the seaweed, the man finally managed to set it free.
It takes some encouragement and guidance to guide the dolphin on her way back home though.
