Laundry is a word that creates dread in many people, and am pretty sure all of us can relate to this. Well, except may be a few that have never done laundry all their life, and so you know laundry has never and will never be fun.
I don’t know why people hate doing laundry, yet they don’t hate wearing the clothes.
When we were young, my mom would always say if you don’t like doing laundry, then don’t wear the clothes.
Funny right? Like she would be okay with us walking around naked. Even with technology and the introduction of washing machines, the idea of doing laundry is a dread to many of us.
This is because one still has to fold the already clean clothes, not bearing in mind that a kid in Africa is washing his or her clothes using their hands, hang them out to dry and later fold them up.
This makes me wonder when did we becomes such lazy bones.
This is why all of us need a little motivation, so we can be able to handle the laundry cycle from day to day without losing it.
Unless they come up with the technology that automatically picks all the dirty clothes, washes then folds them, and store them back in our closets but, I don’t see this happening soon so we need to keep going.
Am not saying this will happen but just imagine it though, work would be so much easier.
But, in the meantime as we wait for this amazing technology to sweep us away, some people have come up with some fun ways to expedite the process, and make it as simple as possible at a cheaper cost thus saving us money and time.
Everybody needs to learn these tricks and skill because, they may come in handy and even make the job worth the effort.
One such innovative person is mom Kathryn. She found a way to make laundry kid friendly and at a dime too. Talk about revolutionizing the laundry system.
Instead of buying expensive sink mats, the mom decided to implement a clever idea by hitting The Dollar store.
For those who do not know this; The Dollar store is a real lifesaver. It has all the items that one needs to make all the household hacks one may require at a throw away price.
Kathryn’s hack only requires two items; sink mats and duct tape. You can get a stack of sink mats for only a few dollars.
For this trick to work, you will be required to purchase six of them, which is relatively cheaper than buying only one sink mat at some stores and a roll of white duct tape which am pretty sure most of you already have in your houses.
For those who do not know sink mats can be used for other purpose other than the sink in your kitchen. Don’t believe me? Let me break it down for you then.
This mom makes folding laundry one of the easiest and fun things to do in the house that even, the kids are willing to jump in which every parent knows it doesn’t happen often and willingly.
The trick here is to join the sink mats together using the duct tape, so they are long and you can have your own folding table.
Then you just put your laundry in the mat and simply fold it. It sounds easy but so does doing it and it is actually fun too.
With such a trick laundry, will no longer be the worst task in your house.
From the video, it is so evident that this little guy is so eager to help out his mom. By making chores fun and getting the kids to it, is one of the ways of teaching them responsibility and also a way of getting a helping hand when one is overwhelmed with chores.
These hacks shouldn’t take you a lot of time. I mean, how easy are they that even a toddler is able to do the task.
This mom has a lot of hacks, watch on how you can keep your fridge clean using other items from The Dollar store.
The time taken to implement these hack, is going to be worth it in the end. Kudos to this mom for thinking outside the box, and showing us on how to save both money and time.
