A dog owner rushed her dog to the vet after discovering lumps on his stomach.
But she was left red-faced when she was told what the lumps were.
The owner panicked when she was petting her Frenchie Apollo and noticed lumps on his chest. She then raced her beloved furry companion to the vet fearing the worst.
However, the owner was left red-faced after she was told that the lumps were just the dog’s nipples.
The $200 mistake was later shared on the dog’s TikTok account where it left thousands of people in stitches.
“Mom spent $200 at the vet today because she found a lump on my belly she thought was cancer,” the caption reads.
“It was my nipple.”
The hilarious clip has gone viral with over two million views and thousands of comments.
One TikTok user commented: “Don’t tell her about the other seven or you’re going back to the vets.”
A vet advised: “As a vet tech of 15 years, I can tell you that you are by far not the first to do this. Better safe than sorry.”
Other dog owners also shared similar stories of realizing the mistake too late.
“I didn’t realize dogs had a whisker bump under their chin and I took my first dog to the vet to get checked out,” one wrote-
“I took my dog to the vet because he had a lump on his face, tell me why a piece of chicken fell out and the lump went right away,” another said.
“My mum went to the vet thinking my dog has a tick but it was his paw. They charged her $40 (£28) just to check his paw,” someone else shared.
