Sounds like these often give dogs tremendous energy and they exhibit it in exactly this way, through random, uncontrolled movements. The whole thing is absolutely hilarious.
Dogs have extremely strong hearing and smelling senses and they can respond to sounds that we can’t even hear.
In case of the sounds both man and dog can hear, dogs have the most interesting response to them. They sometimes lose control and start reacting involuntarily to the sound, as it happens in rave parties when you are totally exhausted but the beat keeps you dancing.
However, a dog moving crazily is not always a sign of them being charged-up or energized.
Some neurological problems also cause dogs to start running in circles and experience seizures. Some dogs can show such symptoms as a result of getting severe head trauma or powerful middle ear infections.
In any case, the moment you notice your dog doing something out of the ordinary without any possible explanation of it, you should take it to the vet as soon as possible.
However, you don’t need to panic if your dog starts running in circles as this can also be a result of excessive emotion, frustration or boredom, usually caused by a lack of adequate physical activity.
It is recommended to walk your dog regularly and take some time out to play with them.
Although there is no documentary proof, yet the circumstantial evidence suggests there is a genetic predisposition in some of the races of dogs to run in circles.
For instance, the German Shepherds usually run in circles centered on their own axis. Bull Terriers also do this but they prefer to revolve in wider circles.
