If you have a pet dog or a cat, there is always those moments when you wonder where your pet is. And when they can’t be found quickly, you instantly worry whether you lost your pet.
This is what Kristin Leigh Rhynehart felt when she thought she lost her rescue dog, Raven and couldn’t find it anywhere in their New Jersey home.
Kristin adopted Raven about a decade ago, and she knew that she made the right decision. Their family was in so much joy after coming this, he is a trusted companion and he always makes laugh everyone in the family. Even after all hardships in his past life, he manages to surprise Kristin.
When Kristin searched and couldn’t find Raven anywhere in their house, she got scared. She searched him in the living room, in the kitchen, as well as Raven’s favorite spots but he was nowhere. She was wondered if she left the door open or she forgot to bring the dog inside. She checked the backyard and confirmed that her dog is not outside either.
When Kristin was busy searching for the dog, her daughter was sleeping. She didn’t want to disturb her daughter, so she didn’t open the door. But after she looked for every possible area where Raven could’ve been hiding from, it was only Addison’s room left to check.
When she opened Addison’s door, she saw an adorable sight.
Addison was laying in her crib and Raven was tucked in with her, sleeping quietly beside the toddler!
Kristin’s heart was melted after seeing this moment so she recorded a video of them and shared it later on Facebook. She wrote the story with the video and her message that reads: “That moment you can’t find your dog, and you even go outside looking for him… Only to walk in the house and find him snuggled up in bed next to your toddler.”
She continued to share that she rescued Raven when he was just a puppy. She explained, “People that say ‘money can’t buy happiness’ have never paid an adoption fee… 10 years ago, I left a rescue with this little guy, and I often wonder… who rescued who? I gave him home but he gave me so, so much more.”
