The German shepherd Zoe had to go through something unimaginable. As a delivery guy entered the house and rang the bell, no one came out so he went to the backyard where he saw Zoe.

At first, he thought that Zoe had been shot but then on taking a closer look he found out that Zoe was missing a limb. He rang the bell again and when no one showed up he called Susquehanna Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Zoe was immediately taken away and was put under the care of vets. Later the vets found bones in Zoe’s stomach and they said she had chewed her own limb off out of the pain she must be going through because she had no food and water and it was extremely cold outside.

The authorities were informed about the horrible condition Zoe was found in and without wasting any time at all they charged Zoe’s owner Carl Pritchard with several animal cruelty offenses.

She has been arrested and will have to spend some time behind the bars. She is also going to appear in the court for multiple charges. The 59 years old woman failed to provide the right to her pet and it is a serious offense.

Zoe is under Susquehanna Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) care for now who took a picture of her and posted it on Facebook along with her story on the side.

In the medical examination, it was found that she had a tumor on her shoulder but thankfully it was not cancerous but the vets will still have to operate on it to take it out.
