A dog named Cletus with a crooked nose and a hump on his back was found on the streets of Los Angeles.
It was clear from his condition that he had been living a terrible life. He was rescued by Best Friends Animal Society.
When he was found, he had respiratory problems and was unable to eat. His rescuers took very good care of him and slowly his health became better.
Then, a picture of Cletus was taken and posted on Best Friends Animal Society’s Instagram page.
The tiny dog instantly stole everyone’s heart and one of those people was Summer Esslingen.
When Summer saw the picture of Cletus, she sent his photo to her boyfriend, Mark Enrietto. She told him to adopt the tiny dog.
The couple then adopted the dog and now, Cletus lives happily with his new owners. The couple encouraged people to adopt dogs who look a little different as no one comes forward to adopt such dogs.
Here’s another heartwarming story of a dog named Pumpkin who was abused and abandoned by its owners.
Pumpkin was found on Houston’s streets and had chemical burns all over her little body. She was also shot with a BB pellet gun. When a man spotted her on Houston’s streets, he took her photo and posted on Instagram with the caption: “LOL… only in the 3rd ward, I see a burned up dog”.
The man was slammed by the Internet users for making fun of the dog’s injuries. Pumpkin was then rescued by local dog rescue volunteers. He was found on Halloween so they named her Pumpkin.
He was then treated as he was seriously injured. After working hard for days, doctors and nurses were able to treat her. She survived and is now healthy and happy.
Pumpkin is now living happily with other rescued dogs at Freddie’s Hope Rescue Ranch.
