This is a heartbreaking moment a stray dog cried happy tears when a kind stranger stopped by and gave it food.
The video of the incident, which shows the small pooch roaming around the streets on Jinzhong in Shanxi, China, was shared online and received a huge reaction from concerned animal lovers.
In the video, the hungry dog can be seen standing on its hind legs while swinging its front legs as if begging for food.
A woman then gave the pooch some sausage, and the pooch’s eyes started to swell up.
It was such a heartbreaking scene – and powerful enough to let us know that dogs have strong feelings, too.
In another video, the woman can be seen returning to the park to see the dog.
When the pooch recognized her, it immediately ran to greet her. And when she gave it another meal, the dog’s eyes got teary again.
In an interview with Xiaoxiang Morning Post, the woman said: “Me and my friends were on the way to a park when we saw the stray dog.
“He started crying when we gave him food and I tried to put him in our car one time, but he refused and jumped back on the street.”
She added: “The dog feared that we would grab him like the dog snatchers because that’s what they would do – luring the dogs to the minivan with food before fleeing.”
After going back to the park, the kind woman noticed that the pooch had left.
“I’ve tried to look for it a few times these few days but I couldn’t find him. I might try my luck asking the street cleaners later,” she expressed.
