We live in a monotonous world and keep going in circles.
We keep on doing the same things over and over again, losing our rationality we never question what is right and what is wrong. We sometimes even go so blind that we do not even think of a possibility of something getting wrong.
Because of the same, one doctor who was not willing to let the same happen, he took his scrub cap and wrote his name down so that there is no confusion and no one mistakenly uses his cap as a concern of safety and security of the patients.
Australian anesthetist Dr. Rob Hackett wrote his name down on his scrub cap “Rob … Anesthetist” to reduce down the confusion that generally happens in the hospitals.
The same was an initiative challenge called #TheatreCapChallange which was an initiative by Patient Safe Network.point 367 |
The initiative was started in order to attract the attention of medical professionals from around the world in order to make them aware about how simple mistakes that happen on a regular base can easily be avoided with the right mode of communication.point 209 | 1
Dr. Rob said “In the start, my colleagues use to mock at me. They use to comment like can you not even remember your own name? Is it so hard to keep a track of your name? Or oh doctor are you lost? but now they don’t. Now everyone gets what I was trying to do.”
A simple idea by Dr. Rob came out as a trend around the world and now no one makes fun of him anymore.
