The puppy had such a painful journey as his legs were not in the right condition; his right leg required surgical removal of the limb while the left one also required care as the left was bearing all the weight.

But still, the pup was courageous and meek. The staff took great care of this cute pup.

The veteran was of the view that he can be treated with every possible treatment but if we could succeed than a wheelchair might be his future. He assured that these little pups recover quickly as compared to big dogs.

Later he was shifted to the humane society of Dickson County.

He was adored and loved at the humane society and became an apple of the eye of the general manager named Vivienne Akhdary.

Both the dog and owner had the same experience in the past. As told by WZTV Ferguson lost his leg in the Gulf war.

As they had so much in common Ferguson used to observe the dog while in therapy center they had the same courage, mild-mannered and not complaining nature.

Thus he adopted scooter and is planning to make him a therapy dog so that he can inculcate his courage into other amputees.

Ferguson told us that, scooter light ups your day because of his smiling nature and gives courage even in most drastic days of one’s life. He reminds us of all the blessings of the world.

He decided to be scooter’s foster once he saw him at the animal hospital burns section as remarked that “He is perfect”.
