The Devil Wears Prada Soon To Turn Into A Musical Production


Starring Oscar-winning actresses, Meryl Streep, and Anna Hathaway, the movie adaptation of the best selling novel “The Devil Wears Prada” will be turned into a stage musical.

According to the sources, the musical adaption will debut at James M. Nederlander Theatre, Chicago on 14 July 2020.

The pre-Broadway engagement and promotions will kick start from mid-July till August. The fans of the iconic movie are extremely excited by the news as it will be refreshing to watch the musical adaption of their favorite movie.

The best selling novel was adapted into a movie in 2006 that starred Anne Hathaway as Andy and Meryl Streep as MiranaPriestly. The story is about a college graduate who gets a dream job at a glamor magazine, Runway.

Andy, a college graduate, ends up as an assistant to a diabolical editor, Mirana Priestly and the story revolves around these two and characters and their chaos.

The movie witnessed a humongous box office success with a gross collection of USD 326 million worldwide.

According to the sources, Anna D. Shapiro will don the hat of director, and Paul Rudnick will be producing the book, Shaina Taub is giving words to the dongs and Grammy winner Elton John will be giving soulful music to the show.

The show producer Kevin McCollum has revealed that Shapiro, lyricist of the show had yearned to premiere the show in Chicago, though he remained mum, his wish was fulfilled when the dates and venue of the show were revealed.
