Determination seen in this shopper is praiseworthy, who was waiting patiently to get a toilet paper roll packet in the middle of the coronavirus panic-buying crisis.
The shopper brought a book, a stool, a sandwich, and a cup of tea along with him as he was preparing to wait for the next delivery of loo rolls.
The shopper had returned to the local Coles supermarket three times in a day in Adelaide with the hope of getting the highly sought-after item.
In the picture that went viral online, the male shopper was seen sitting on a small stool near an aisle determined to wait for the shelves to get restocked so that he does not miss out again.
One woman claimed that this was his local shop and the man was informed thrice about the arrival of the delivery. As the shopper did not want to leave empty-handed, he came prepared to sit and wait.
In response to the Covid-19 crisis in Australia, supermarket shelves have been emptied as all the essential food like non-perishable food items including rice and pasta, toilet paper, and hand sanitizers have been sold.
The lady who had spotted the strong-willed shopper also noted that the man had brought a thermos of tea and sandwich with him while waiting.
Most Woolworths and Coles stores are getting a daily delivery of loo rolls that would generally stick around until the next day.
Due to the increased demand for toilet paper rolls, supermarkets are facing struggles to keep the aisles stocked. As a result, they were forced to adopt a 2-pack per shopper limit policy.
They have also decreased store hours to only 8 am-8-pm per day with an extra hour in the morning from 7 am exclusively for disabled and elderly shoppers to let them shop in peace.
