Officer Jumped Into Pond Infested With Deadly Snakes And Alligators To Save A Helpless Dog


Hearing her dog cry, the owner immediately called 911 for professional help.

Cody the boxer had apparently dived into a neighborhood pond filled with alligators that were unsettlingly deep.

Since Cody is not a great swimmer, he found himself stranded and crying for help.

 

Responding to the 911 call, Matt Patellis, Deputy from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida arrived at the scene. Stripping down to a t-shirt, a pair of shorts, and a pair of socks, deputy Matt Patellis jumped right into the swampy chest-deep pond.

Now, the only concern for Deputy Matt was the alligators and snakes lurking beneath the surface. He brushed off the concern and pursued to help the distressed dog was struggling to keep its head out of the water.

Seeing a stranger approaching him, Cody didn’t realize that the man was here to help. Worried of the stranger, the dog started barking back. However, he was already in the swampy dilemma, so he wasn’t able to get back too far from Matt.

Deputy Matt tried all sort of tricks to lure the dog towards him and finally, once the dog realized Matt is here to help, he decided to go towards the kind-hearted man.

At last, they were both out of the pond, safe and sound but dripping wet. He said that the swim was a little refreshing and all-in-all, it was a nice experience. He said that Code was one adventurous dog who decided to jump into a swampy pond filled with deadly snakes and alligators.
