Daycare is the place on which many parents rely on as they leave their kids to their care before going for work. Parents leave their kids in daycare because they know that their children are in safe hands who would take care of them in their absence.

But what if the things are not right at the daycare and your child is not safe there? No parent would like to experience this but an incident happened with a couple who left their baby girl at daycare.

On April 2018, Deirdre and Jonathan received a call from the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) which concerned the picture of their daughter that the department received.

The parents immediately went at DCF to see the photo for themselves. Mother was furious to see her daughter was wrapped in a blanket pulled back by a hairband as this sleeping position was not safe for an infant.

Deirdre shared this on her Facebook account writing:

“[S]he was being put into a sleep sack with her arms inside it, and all the material gathered in back and tied up so she could not move her arms, then put down on her belly so she could not roll over.” The mother is hoping that this never happens to any other child. She is also hoping that others would be brave enough to advocate for those who cannot protect themselves. “Take care of your babies.”

Deirdre and Jonathan, later they were not alone to receive the phone call. Their viral story even reached Doctors. The parents shared their story on TV to tell other parents how daycare is treating children.

Leaving the baby in this compromised position results in suffocation and one must understand the positioning of the infant to avoid any danger. You should do research about daycare first before leaving your baby to their care.
