A fresh special by Dave Chappelle on Netflix had left conservatives and liberals divided and had caused distress to hardcore cultural activists who are stereotypical and react to everything that does not give a shout to wokeness.
Speaking about it, Dave Chappelle speaks and defends the creation of the second amendment as he says why it was important for America’s forefathers to create it.
Dave received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on the weekend at the Kennedy Center.
While giving his thank you speech he talked about how free speech is a very important part of the presentation for every orator or a comedian for that matter and even supported ‘Very Racist’ comedian.
He also added that the first-second amendment exists in case they take away the first amendment from us.
He said, “we don’t have to get mad at them; we don’t really have to hate them either.”
He added “First amendment is in the first place for a reason and the second amendment just acts like a backup for the first amendment. In case the first does not work, then we have a second too.”
The second amendment means that if a person’s right to free speech is being torn down or taken away by government or any other entity, then the person will still have a place to save themselves by standing up against it.
David says that it comes to him like an honor. He says that standing on such a huge platform gives him strength and confidence and the best part was that it was happening right in Washington.
He says that he was able to speak his mind out that stereotypically a topic no one would appreciate but the crowd is still buzzing with appreciation that at least he spoke about things and people loved how he came out on everything he had in his mind.
