Comedian Dave Chappelle flew to Wyoming to visit his friend Kanye West after the rapper’s Twitter rampage.
Kanye shared a video of him and his friend a day after he shared a series of tweets about his wife Kim Kardashian and her family.
He wrote on Twitter: “Thank you Dave for hopping on a jet to come see me doing well. Dave you are a god send and a true friend. All love.”
In the video, the rapper jokes with Chappelle to “please just make us smile, the world needs some, we need some joy, we need to smile.”
“We need some joke, something. Something to like lift our spirits,” he told the comedian. Chappelle then said: “S***, I don’t know, I’m still on my first cup of coffee. Let me think of a good joke.”
“Thanks for coming out and checking on me,” the rapper can be heard saying in the video.

The 43-year-old also praised his friend a day after he asked Kim and Kris Jenner to call him, accusing both of trying to lock him up with doctors in a Twitter rampage after his presidential rally breakdown in South Carolina.
During his speech on Sunday, Kanye shared how he stopped Kim from aborting their first child, North, after he received a message from God.
An insider told Entertainment Tonight that Kim is ‘completely devastated’ by her husband’s tweets. “Kim has always been public about everything in her life, but with Kanye and him being bipolar she has always respected to keep that more private and within the family.
“Kanye tweeting about the family and painting her as trying to ‘lock him up’ has upset Kim because that wasn’t her intention and she only ever wants the best for her husband.”
Another source said to Us Weekly that Kim and her family think Kanye ‘crossed a line’ by sharing private matters with the public.
“She’s tried so hard to help him, but now Kim and her family feel as though he’s really crossed a line by talking negatively about them publicly and sharing private family matters with the public,” the source revealed.
“She feels helpless at this point.”
