A Daughter Decided To Disown Her Father After He Posed Next To A Lion He Slaughtered


A daughter has decided to disown her father after the photo of his estranged dad kissing his wife next to the slaughtered lion’s body went viral.

Sydney Carter, 19, has vowed that she would never call her father ‘dad’ again.

Darren Carter, from Canada, went to a trophy hunting trip to shoot the lion in South Africa and posed with his partner Carolyn Carter. The couple took part in a tour organized by Legelela Safaris when they shot and killed at least two lions.

His daughter was extremely upset and disgusted after hearing this.

In a YouTube video, Sydney said: “I refuse to call him my dad anymore, who does that?

“I will never understand people like that – who take pride in shooting a beautiful animal like a lion. I’ll never understand it.”

Sydney has not seen her dad in 10 years and claimed that her father allegedly cut off her child support when she started university.

She added: “So, Darren, if you’re ever watching this, just know that I don’t call you my dad anymore. You are a horrible person.”

“Knowing you trophy hunt beautiful animals like lions, who are slowly becoming endangered, is just… it’s too much.”

“I’m someone who loves animals and wouldn’t want anyone to hurt them, and to know that my own father does that – I don’t even consider you my dad anymore.”

The tour operator shares the pictures of dead animals alongside the hunters.

They shared Mr. and Mrs. Carter’s kissing photo alongside the dead lion and wrote, ”Hard work in the hot Kalahari sun…well done. A monster lion.”

In another picture, the same couple can be seen in front of another slaughtered animal and the caption reads,” There is nothing like hunting the king of the jungle in the sands of the Kalahari.”
