The doctors diagnosed his daughter with RSV, a serious medical condition that not many parents know of.
His daughter was also diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia, type H flu, bronchitis, and a partially collapsed right lung.

RSV is a respiratory syncytial virus, and 60 percent of infants in the United States are infected with RSV and have gone on to suffer from lower respiratory tract infections. The father emphasizes the importance of washing hands before handling infants.

He also warns us that it is important to distinguish RSV from common cold, since RSV is not caused by exposure to cold temperatures. Rather, RSV is brought on by direct contact with surfaces and through transmissions like coughing or sneezing.

As he writes on Imgur, “RSV is no joke. I didn’t know much about it until a week ago when it almost took my daughter from me. Please make sure to wash your hands before handling little ones. And make sure to wrap them up when heading outside into the cold.”
