27-year-old porn star Dakota Skye has passed away, just weeks after receiving major backlash from online trolls.
The ex-adult star was reportedly found dead at her residence in Los Angeles. Moreover, the incident is being called out as extremely controversial as it took place just a few weeks after she sparked outrage by posing topless near a mural of George Floyd.
The entertainer, whose real name is Lauren Scott, had been discovered dead by her own husband at their motorhome in California. Local media outlets confirmed how the incident took place on Wednesday.
While investigations into the case continue, no hints are being given about the star’s actual cause of death. Hence, family members are still waiting for authorities to make a final confirmation.
Dakota went viral after posting up an image of herself, which has now been deleted, showing her to be flashing her breasts, right next to a mural of George Floyd that is known to be a tribute to the Black man who passed away tragically.
George Floyd was killed by former police officer Derek Chauvin last year after the ex-cop knelt on his neck for a span that was greater than 9 minutes. Floyd screamed for help as he could not breathe and unfortunately passed away as a result of the heinous crime.
On the other hand, the former porn star who hails from Florida’s Tampa Bay was called out for the very controversial image, which many termed as disrespectful. She even went on captioning the image with ‘Happy George Floyd Day’. This was closely followed with, ‘Equality and fair treatment for all. It’s a dope mural’.
But the flurry of abuse that came from online trolls was beyond what the star could imagine. One user called it seriously disrespectful bullsh*t while another questioned what logic did the act of flashing against a dead man’s mural have in the first place.
The adult actress had starred in over 300 films whose main theme revolved around explicit content. Moreover, she was also nominated for the award for the best new starlet in 2015 for the AVN Awards, which many refer to as the ‘Oscars of the Porn World’.
