A dad’s recent post about his hardworking son’s work ethic as a part-time employee at Burger King is being ripped apart on Twitter.
The incident sparked a huge debate recently regarding the theme of children entering the workforce at such a young age. Moreover, the Dad posted through his Facebook account relating to how his 14-year-old son worked every single day at a Burger King fast-food restaurant. He even explained how his child enjoyed every single moment of it too.
“My son is a part-time employee at Burger King, and he works every single day that he can,” the dad went on to exclaim proudly.
This also entails weekends as well, while most other kids his age are doing other things that allow them to enjoy themselves. But the fact that his son goes in early and even ends up staying in late, almost every single day of the week, had so many people in shock.
“He loves making his own money and is doing whatever he can to save for a car,” the father explained. “He is also very responsible in his decisions and will soon turn out to be a very respectable man!” the father added.
This makes the dad so proud of him and he expressed that through this message.
“Some of you lazy, grown-ass individuals need to learn from him,” he added.
Within no time, the post went viral but unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. Being re-shared left and right on Twitter, people called the event super depressing and unfortunate.
Many felt the teenager was given too many responsibilities at such a young age that was clearly taking his childhood away from him too. It’s true that many liked the post but the general consensus revolved around one thing…. he was just a kid and it was his time to enjoy having no responsibilities.
Others also spoke about how much children suffer great damage psychologically in their adult life because they were never able to attain a full childhood.
