2-year-old Kristian Thomas of New Jersey was diagnosed with leukemia last year.

It was in 2016 when Kenny’s wife, Josilyne, got pregnant with Kristian, their 4th child. After a few weeks, they were told that there was a high chance their baby would be born with Down syndrome.

“When we received the diagnosis, [the doctors] made it seem it was like a death sentence,” Josilyne said. “Many, many times they would come to us and tell us that maybe we should abort Kristian because he could possibly have brain issues and heart issues.”

After their baby was born, Kristian was diagnosed with a rare blood condition usually found in children with Down syndrome.

While he was in the hospital for treatment, his devoted dad, Kenny, would dance for Kristian, who would also dance along and clap.

The little boy was finally declared cancer-free in November 2018 after five rounds of chemotherapy.

11 months since they received the good news, 35-year-old Kenny and jolly Kristian danced together in a video that has gained almost 15,000 views.

Kenny shared the video on Instagram and wrote: “Father Son chemistry…11 Months Cancer Free!! If we can do it you can do it!! Live Free!! Drop a [heart emoji] for Father Son Vibes!!!”

In one of their videos, Kenny showed some impressive moves as their son smiles and watches from the hospital bed.

“I’ve been doing these videos and people have been loving them since the first one that I did,” he said to PIX 11.

“I figure why…be the dad that’s grieving and complaining about his son being in the hospital and his family being in the hospital all day?

“Why don’t I change things up a little bit and let’s show people how to be positive in this situation?”

Next month will mark the one-year anniversary of Kristian having no signs of cancer!
